If two variants say essentially the same thing with slightly different words, running them as an A/B test is pointless. The distinctiveness score measures how different your variants are from each other using bigram similarity, rewarding truly different angles.
Power words are emotionally charged terms proven to increase clicks: "ultimate", "complete", "proven", "guide", "step-by-step", etc. They trigger curiosity or signal value, making users more likely to click your result over competitors.
